Wow. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this a few minutes ago on TV. Have we taken NO steps forward in the last 100 years? Allstate you’ve been my insurance carrier for 5 years, but you managed to completely lose my business forever in only 16 seconds. Blech. Shame on you.

    @ …
@VanessaCueingEnglish Why? Honestly, most time when driving, I see your typical teenage girl, on her phone, texting, and driving. Try to view it from a third person view, or a gender anonymous view. Teenage boys however, love to race. Teenage girls, love to text.

    Allstate is doing …
Allstate is doing it too……. Black man good (“Are you in good hands”), White man bad (“Mayhem is coming”). If you haven’t noticed, then you are oblivious. Watch I AM LEGEND. Will Smith is shown as “OUR SAVIOR”…(On TIME magazine.) He saves the world. Emma Thompson causes the virus. She’s Hillary. Watch for this trend. It’s been going on for quite some time.

  26. Comment by GET OVER IT

GET OVER IT!!!! Teenagers are (in their minds) INVINCIBLE!! They can’t help it!! It’s all part of being young! That’s why we don’t call them adults! They are obsessed with staying in touch with one another and don’t think things through because they are INEXPERIENCED! They can’t help it, we were all there and hopefully you make your mistaked (i.e. fender benders) young and grow up to be a responsible person. But until then, that’s a teenager.

These commercials are hilarious and true! You bunch of fucking whiners! Why is everyone so offended by everything?! Learn to laugh people . . .

  28. Comment by s

i’m assuming most people who are telling us to “lighten up” are men. this IS sexist, it depicts women as shallow and stupid. i’m surprised there hasn’t been more uproar about this commercial… actually, i’m more appalled than surprised.

  29. Comment by tayriley

i agree w/ s. this is fucking appalling. incredibly sexist- it supports a view that says women are vapid and stupid, and to top it off, dont care when they cause an accident. completely ridiculous. good thing i’m w/ geico. assholes.

  30. Comment by sexist

statistically insurance is HIGHER for males mostly because they get in more accidents and tend to be more aggressive drivers. insurance rates are higher for males, more so if you’re a young male –prob due to the fact that they race and speed more. if females were the worse of the two genders with driving then insurance rates would be reflective of that. everyone who has a cell has txt while driving, eml’d while driving or ignored hands-free laws from time to time, if not OFTEN. texting while driving is not a gender thing. if they put out a commercial depicting that rather than putting it all on young females this wouldn’t be touted as sexist.

You have to agree that whole life is not worth the additional expense. The cost is much higher, with a much lower return than other cash-based investments. Just go with term life.

  32. Comment by Harlan Senese

Well what can I say? great post and I completely agree with you on all points and I am thinking about adding a link on my blog to your blog post because its that good.
