I have a picture of me from a few hours after delivery and I was so white i looked ill, it was actually just because i lost so much blood that i didnt have enough to s=circulate properly

    Thats awesome! …
Thats awesome! There is this (male induced) culture of fear surrounding brith, you are treated as if you’re sick, when it is the most natural process a woman can go through. We’ve been giving birth since the beginning of time!! I had two horrible insensitive clinical hospital births, then had an unnassisted homebirth the third time round and it was the most empowering wonderful experiance. A woman needs to listen to her body and follow its lead, nothing else. Your instinct will guide you ;)

    Couldnt agree with …
    Couldnt agree with you more.
I hate when docs force you or prefer you to do what THEY want rather than what the laboring mother wants, And especially when they say “pushpushpush” like a million times *ugh.*
that makes them more likely to tear.

Someday when I have children I am going to a birth center and going in the water to ease everything and i am going to be squatting to, and ill be damned if im going to have some doctor force me to do what makes there lives easier.
    Just sayin’ :)

    Birth is so …
Birth is so beautiful. Perhaps for your next birth, you could try squatting, it shortens the birth canal and it makes tearing almost impossible. The only reason medical staff have a woman on her back is because it makes THEIR job easier.
    Great job :) He’s perfect.

Well I must say i really appreciate your response. I am not too hurt by your previous comment, its just that this was the second time I got a comment saying exactly wha your comment was saying. And it does make me sad that people see it like that, as that is not how it is at all. But I will live. And again thank you for this response. And I am truely sorry about that experiece of yours that you shared with me. I cant imagine.

    I’m sorry if my …
I’m sorry if my comment offended you, I didn’t mean to. I just got very emotional cause it reminded me of my own birth when I was only 16. My labour was rather easy and only lasted 3 hours but began afterwards. My daughter had an heart defect and didn’t make it out of her second cardiac surgery only 5 days after she was born :’(
Therefore I’m so glad your son is healthy since that truly is the biggest blessing! So excuse my previous comment. You are very brave for sharing this video on YT!

    I put this video …
I put this video here to educate women about the process of childbirth. Not to be judged. Do you honestly think I didnt care about bonding with my child. Notice I was doing skin to skin, which is bonding. I hadnt slept in 2 days, I had no pain medication, and yes it HURT! If you ever go through childbirth with no pain medication, while also being sleep deprived, that maybe you will understand. I was very emotional and in shock. It was a very intense experience, what more can I say.
    It hurts!

    I agree. …
I agree. Unfortunately, in a hospital environment, the doctors and nurses probably don’t agree. Impatient bastards. If I have kids, it’ll be in a birthing center or at home.

BTW, I meant to say “I know it’s not a popular opinion to tell a women who’s pushing to not scream”. But I heard on a medical show that screaming does take away energy and concentration that can be used to get the baby out…

    Yes, but a woman …
Yes, but a woman ought to be able to take pushing at her own pace and with her own level of intensity provided the baby isn’t in immediate danger.

    Some labors are …
Some labors are worse then others, you should wait to get drugs until you HAVE to, becase the longer you go without them, the faster your labor will be. ( = i had no drugs, but my labor was only 1 1/2 hours, so dont get them, just because you doubt yourself. You may find that you surprise yourself. Good luck! ( =

    I didnt really give …
I didnt really give a heck that they told me not to make noise, i did anyway, (as you can hear lol) seriously it doesnt really take extra energy away, and also its almost immpossible not to scream. While i was in labor, they were telling me to do breathing techniques.. that impossible too, the nurses are just annoying haha

  24. Comment by charesebaby

    Screaming takes …
Screaming takes away energy that can be used towards pushing. I know it’s a popular opinion to tell a woman who’s pushing not to scream, but unless the contractions are moving the baby out on their own, then screaming does take away the much needed energy…
