The big moment: the birth of my son! My midwife let us catch our own baby and pull him to my chest for immediate skin to skin contact. We started nursing right after this. The placenta followed within 15 minutes. We waited to clamp and cut the cord until after it was done pulsing. This birth was an amazing experience and next time we will be dong a homebirth.
