How does a society determine what its children should learn in infancy, early childhood,
middle childhood, adoloescense, and early adulthood

Societies determine what their children will be taught from a young age and through adulthood, on the basis of their worldview. A society which adopts a materialistic worldview will teach their children that we are the product of naturalistic evolutionary processes. A society which adopts a Christian worldview will teach its children that we are the result of special creation. The same is true for all worldviews, each has beliefs about the unobserved past, and a corresponding ideology.

What constitutes reality, knowledge and ethics, as taught to its children, will be dictated by the presupposed worldview a society adopts. This raises the question of which worldview is the correct one, if any. Worldviews are compared by placing them side-by-side, examining them for internal consistency, and asking which if any is able to make our experience intelligible.

This is a very important question, thank you for asking it. For a greater understanding of the effects of a society’s worldview, and how to choose between them for yourself, there is no better resource I can point you to, than the YouTube videos on this channel:

They are by Dr. Greg L. Bahnsen, a legendary philosopher, taken from a sixty-dollar DVD series he made lecturing college students. All of the videos can be watched for free at the above link.

  1. Comment by K.I

well, i think that is up to educationalists, they are the one to determine what a pupil or a kid should learn at each specific range of age,
so as i am concern (M.A) of teaching second language I would say a lot but this space doesn't seem as the proper place for all that explaination. if interested let me know what else do you want me to scratch for you
