How are motor, sensory, and perceptual skills developed in infancy?
It varies depending on the age group in infancy. Gross motor skills are usually the first to develop. So picking up blocks and throwing them down would stimulate growth in that area.
sensory skills can be developed through everyday play with different textures. Allow the child to play with sponges and bits of scrap material, play dough is also a fantastic way to develop these.
Both Perceptual and spacial skills are usually developed properly when they begin to crawl. Or become mobile on their own, ie walking ring, standing and moving between coffee table and sofa.
