Arden B. Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Marshalls, TJ Maxx,
Nordstom, Dillards, Macy's. Even if you still wear jr sizes, you can find them in these stores, not jeans, more skirts/blouse/jacket or dresses and low to med heels, unless you prefer higher. nylons, optional, on dress code in some companies, I don't wear them anymore, last I was required to wear them was in military, even white hose for nurses uniforms, yik. in Hawaii, too, with all that heat....
Still have clothes from A. Taylor, classic skirts, bit small, but if I worked on it, could get into them again. too nice to give away..
References :
nurse

Change is natural and occurs gradually. Don't do it all at once. You should go on a shopping spree every month and buy a bunch of clothes that you like. Find outfits that are you, don't try to change your wardrobe to look like a young woman. Just change the adolescent tee shirts etc. and find pieces that look like a very put together outfit. It doesnt even have to look fancy or anything. Before you know it after all your shopping sprees you closet will look like a young woman's wardrobe. I'm 17 as well. Don't worry, you're not expected to change so much so fast. Just let it happen the way it should! =)
Good luck with your wardrobe and your new look =)
References :
FIRST OF ALL TURN OFF THE CAPS!
Okay well you'd want to look for inspiration somewhere
ex. magazines,celebrities,television.
Once you have your inspiration just go to a local mall and go in different stores.
I recommend:
H&M
Topshop
Charlotte Russe
Forever 21
and Wet Seal
References :
ditch the every day tshirts, and look for longer tops. they tend to make you look older. if you're into tshirts, look up Agyness Deyn, she'll give you style ideas.
watch what's going on in the fashion world. you dont have to follow it, but if you see nice things in magazines, then go out and see if you can get something similar for yourself

bright colours tend to make you look very young.
