I am currently a Biology adolescent education major but i love history. I am half way done with my schooling and do not have the money start all over to becoming a history teacher. Is there anyway I can get my BA in Biology education and then get a masters in History?
While this may seem to be unrelated, if both have to do with teaching, then yes, you can get a degree at the Masters level in something other than Biology. If at all possible, make History your Minor and at least get enough history courses in your transcripts to warrant the degree plan without having to "start" over as you say. Also, you are likely to get picked up as a Biology teacher faster than as a history teacher, so you might want to consider getting your foot in the door and then showing your skills to diversify and teach history as also, thereby making yourself more marketable while saving your school district money at the same time. Good luck!… ☺
